Important information about accessibility

For a perfect planning of your visit please notice the following information concerning wheelchairs, and the ban of bringing baby strollers or dogs up the tower.

Restricted access with wheelchairs

For safety reasons - and above all for the protection of all visitors to the Danube Tower in the case of fire or disaster - the approval of the operating licence for the Danube Tower contains the following conditions:

Only one wheelchair user at a time per cabin may travel in the high-speed lifts to the observation platform. A maximum of 3 wheelchair users may be present in the tower (the tower shaft and the observation terrace) at any one time, and each wheelchair user must be accompanied by another person capable of transporting the wheelchair user. Wheelchairs may not be used on the stairs leading from the observation platform to the upper areas of the tower.

We have set up a number of rostrums suitable for wheelchairs users on the observation platform to enable a better view over the balustrades.

Our staff at the cash desk would be pleased to show you the parking area set aside for wheelchairs at the entrance.

Baby strollers (Children's buggies)

For safety reasons - and above all for the protection of all visitors to the Danube Tower in the case of fire or disaster - the approval of the operating licence for the Danube Tower contains the following conditions:

It is forbidden by law to transport baby strollers (children's buggies) in the express lifts of the Danube Tower. The access with baby strollers to the observation deck, the café and restaurant on the tower is not possible therefore.

Our staff at the cash desk would be pleased to show you the parking area set aside for baby strollers (children's buggies) at the entrance.

Dogs

For safety reasons - and above all for the protection of all visitors to the Danube Tower in the case of fire or disaster - the approval of the operating licence for the Danube Tower contains the following conditions:

Bringing dogs up the tower is forbidden by law. The access of the observation deck, the café or the restaurant at the tower is not possible therefore.

Please notice that all regulations are part of the official approval of the operating licence for the Danube Tower and so there are no exceptions possible. The regulations are for your own safety during your visit at the Danube Tower.
