20 Years of Bühne Donaupark

Numerous guests from the fields of culture, media, and politics joined in to honor one of Vienna’s most beloved open-air festivals.

Attendees were welcomed with culinary highlights from our kitchen – including a tasting of Backhendl (fried chicken) and our very own Turmbier, freshly brewed exclusively for Donaubräu.

Live music from Amore Italiano mit Saskia Merle & Anna Fay set the perfect atmosphere for this festive occasion.

A highlight of the reception was the tribute to Herbert Sobotka, the passionate founder and driving force behind the festival. District Chairman Ernst Nevrivy honored him for his long-standing dedication to Vienna’s cultural scene. Peter Rapp, who has significantly contributed to the success of the festival since its inception, was also recognized for his support.

Many artists participating in the 2025 festival were in attendance, including Andy Lee Lang, Dennis Jale, Niddl, Christl Prager, Michael Seida, as well as comedians Fredi Jirkal, Andreas Ferner, and Peter & Tekal. Musicians and bands such as DIE DREI, DIE DALTONS, RIDIN DUDES, ORIGINAL SWINGTIME BAND, AMORE ITALIANO, STEREO PARTY, DR.SÜDBAHN & DIE SYMPARTIE, R.OCK I.N. P.EACE, the SirtakiSchrammeln, and Texasschrammeln were also present.

The Bühne Donaupark Festival kicks off on July 12th with an opening concert by Monti Beton. Until August 31st, the stage in the park’s natural amphitheater will host 25 open-air events every Friday through Sunday – featuring live music, cabaret, and Viennese charm with free admission.
