The Danube Tower experience begins as soon as visitors enter the building. In the modern foyer, guests will find the front desk, ticket and information area, as well as interactive multitouch walls with fascinating content about the Danube Tower. From there, the express lifts take visitors up to the viewing levels in around 35 seconds.

The two express lifts at the Danube Tower take visitors up in around 35 seconds at a speed of 6.2 m/s. The ride leads to the central level, from where guests can access the viewing platform, Turm Café and Turm Restaurant. The experience already begins in the foyer, with the front desk, ticket area and interactive multitouch walls.
Welcome to the Danube Tower Foyer
The foyer is the central entrance area of the Danube Tower Vienna. This is where visitors start their visit, receive information about tickets, offers and experiences, and get ready for their journey high above Vienna. Historic design elements from 1964 meet a modern visitor experience.
Front Desk, Tickets & Visitor Information
At the front desk, guests receive information about admission tickets, online tickets, reservations, offers and further experiences at the Danube Tower. From here, visitors can continue to the viewing platform, Turm Café, Turm Restaurant and the Danube Tower Slide.
Interactive Multitouch Walls in the Waiting Area
The interactive multitouch walls turn the waiting area into part of the experience. Visitors can discover stories, quizzes and exciting facts about the Danube Tower, Vienna and the Vienna International Garden Show of 1964.
Express Lifts to the Viewing Levels
The express lifts are among the technical highlights of the Danube Tower. They take visitors quickly and comfortably upwards in just around 35 seconds. The lift ride is not only the way to the view, but already part of the Danube Tower experience.

The ride with the express lifts takes around 35 seconds. At a speed of 6.2 m/s, visitors reach the central level of the Danube Tower and can continue from there to the viewing levels and the tower’s restaurants.
Two Express Lifts for Visitors
The Danube Tower has two express lifts. Each lift carries up to 15 people including lift staff and provides a fast connection between the foyer and the viewing levels.

Since the modernization, visitors can experience the ride through viewing windows in the lift ceilings. The view into the tower and the light show during the ride make the journey upwards a special moment.

The viewing windows in the lift ceilings allow visitors to look into the tower structure during the ride. Together with the light show, this creates an impressive experience even before reaching the viewing platform.
Modern Technology and Energy-Efficient Lifts
The lift systems of the Danube Tower were comprehensively modernized in 2010. Among other things, the drive and control systems were renewed. Thanks to regenerative drives, the energy consumption of the lift system was reduced by more than 40%.

As part of the technical modernization, the express lifts were adapted to current standards. The renewed systems provide a comfortable, fast and energy-efficient ride upwards.

From the central level, visitors can access the main experiences at the Danube Tower: the viewing platform, the glazed indoor terrace, Turm Café, Turm Restaurant and the Danube Tower Slide. The lift ride connects the foyer directly with views, dining and adventure.
Tickets for the Foyer, Lift Ride and View
Tickets for the Danube Tower are available online and on site. Depending on the type of visit, guests can choose from individual tickets, combo tickets, annual passes, group tickets and offers for schools and kindergartens. With their ticket, visitors travel from the foyer via the express lifts up to the view over Vienna.
