Immersive Center at the Danube Tower

Opening on October 23, 2025, this new immersive destination at the Donauturm site will become a hub for virtual reality exhibitions and innovative digital experiences.

The Immersive Center is an integral part of the Donauturm premises. The Donauturm provides the location and setting, while individual immersive and VR exhibitions are realized in collaboration with external operators.

A Unique Location in Vienna

Located at Donauturmplatz 1 in Vienna’s 22nd district, the Immersive Center Donauturm sits at the foot of the iconic Donauturm. Surrounded by the green spaces of the Donaupark and just steps away from spectacular panoramic views over the city, it offers one of Vienna’s most attractive cultural locations.

Nearby attractions include the Danube Island and the Vienna International Centre. The Immersive Center is easily accessible by public transport, with the Alte Donau and Kaisermühlen–VIC underground stations only a short ride away.

Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City – The Immersive Experience

The opening exhibition at the Immersive Center Donauturm features an internationally acclaimed virtual reality production:
“Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City – The Immersive Experience.”

This award-winning VR exhibition has already captivated audiences in Berlin, Madrid, and Singapore and will now be presented for the first time in Austria. Using state-of-the-art VR technology, visitors embark on an extraordinary journey into the world of the Incas, experiencing Machu Picchu in an immersive, vivid, and unforgettable way.

The VR exhibition is operated by external partners, while the Donauturm provides the unique architectural and cultural setting for this exceptional experience.

In the future, the Immersive Center Donauturm will regularly host new immersive and VR exhibitions in Vienna, featuring themes from culture, history, and art.

From October 23, 2025, special combination tickets will be available, including admission to both the Immersive Center Donauturm and the Donauturm observation tower.
