Roman Bauer Becomes New Managing Director of the Danube Tower

April 2, 2024: Beginning in April 2024, Roman Bauer will take over the management of the Danube Tower, in which Wien Holding also has a stake. The distinguished tourism professional succeeds Hermann Krammer, who wants to dedicate himself to new challenges.

Growing up in a family of restaurateurs, Roman Bauer started his career as a Food and Beverage Manager at the Austria Trend Eventhotel Pyramide, a hotel of Verkehrsbüro Hotellerie GmbH, after graduating from the renowned hotel and tourism school MODUL. In the following years, he served as the operational managing director of all hotel operations of ARCOTEL Hotels & Resorts GmbH, both nationally and internationally. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at an Austrian family-owned company in the trade and real estate development sector.

"It fills me with pride to take on the honorable role of Managing Director for the Danube Tower. With a dedicated team by my side, I look forward to leading one of Vienna's most significant landmarks into a successful future. My primary goal is to attract an even broader audience and to inspire the Viennese and of course tourists from home and abroad with our diverse leisure and culinary offerings even more," emphasizes Roman Bauer.

"We are convinced that Roman Bauer, with his strong leadership qualities, his many years of industry experience, and his comprehensive expertise, is the ideal choice to head the Danube Tower and thus continue the path set by Hermann Krammer. In the coming years, we not only want to further develop the visitor experience but also take the gastronomic offerings – the Turm Restaurant, the Turm Café, and the Donaubräu – to the next level. We would like to thank Mr. Krammer for his successful management. His extraordinary commitment over the past almost five years has been and is of invaluable importance for the repositioning of the Danube Tower. We wish him all the best for his professional future," say the Danube Tower's shareholders unanimously.

"I would like to thank the shareholders for the exciting time as General Manager of the Danube Tower. My successor is taking over a fantastic task, and I am very confident that he will continue the success story of the Danube Tower. I look forward to my new challenges and wish the Danube Tower and its team the very best for a bright future," concludes Hermann Krammer.
