With us, you will learn your profession in various kitchen areas. This gives you a broad insight into workflows, products, preparation methods and service requirements at the Danube Tower.

• Production kitchen: preparation for daily operations and event production
• Tower kitchen: refined à-la-carte cuisine with regional products and high standards

What Do You Do During a Cooking Apprenticeship?

During your apprenticeship, you process food, learn different preparation methods and gradually develop your practical skills. You will not only learn how dishes are prepared, but also how menus are planned, how food is completed on time and how quality and cost efficiency are taken into account.

You will work independently and as part of a team, support preparation tasks, pay attention to the proper storage of food and work with your colleagues to ensure order, cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.

How Your Apprenticeship Works

Your apprenticeship follows the dual training system: it combines training at the Danube Tower with lessons at vocational school. At vocational school, you gain the theoretical background knowledge, while at the Danube Tower you learn the practical side of the cook profession.

The training ends with the final apprenticeship examination and opens up many opportunities in gastronomy.

Apprenticeship Compensation

The apprenticeship compensation in the 1st year is €1,090 gross per month according to the collective agreement for the hotel and gastronomy industry.
