To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors, the Danube Tower has a number of safety guidelines and house rules. On this page, you'll find everything you need to know before your visit – from general visitor guidelines to the requirements for the Danube Tower Slide.

Safety Regulations and Official Requirements
The Danube Tower complies with all applicable safety regulations and official requirements. These measures help ensure a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for every visitor.s.
Visitor Guidelines
Please observe the following guidance during your visit. It helps ensure that everyone can enjoy the Donauturm safely and comfortably.
Wheelchairs and Rollators
Transport in the express lifts is subject to the conditions set out in official decision MBA 22 – Ba 7952/93 of 14 January 1994. One wheelchair user may travel in each lift cabin as far as the lower observation terrace. Each wheelchair user must be accompanied by someone who can assist with transport if needed. No more than three wheelchair users may be on the observation terrace at the same time.
Wheelchairs and rollators may not be used on the stairs leading from the lower observation terrace to the upper levels. The Turm Restaurant, Turm Café and indoor terrace are therefore not accessible by wheelchair. The ground-floor areas are accessible.
An approved exception applies to rollators: They may be taken in the lift up to the 165-metre level. Rollators cannot be taken into the Turm Restaurant or Turm Café. Guests must be able to use the remaining stairs without their rollator; our team will return it to the ground floor while they visit.
Pushchairs and Strollers
Under the conditions of official decision MBA 22 – Ba 7952/93 of 14 January 1994, pushchairs and prams may not be taken in the express lifts. Space is available to leave them in the entrance area. A practical alternative is to bring a Maxi-Cosi infant carrier.
Dogs and Assistance Dogs
Dogs are not permitted at the Danube Tower. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are of course allowed.
Open Flames and Candles
For fire safety reasons, the use of open flames and candles is strictly prohibited throughout the entire Danube Tower.
Events on the Indoor Terrace
The indoor terrace is part of the evacuation and emergency escape routes of the Danube Tower and must remain accessible at all times. Liquid gas, open flames and non-certified decorations are not permitted.
Roller skates, inline skates and sports equipment
Roller skates, inline skates, scooters, balls and similar sports or play equipment must be left at the entrance when entering the Donauturm. They may not be taken into the express lifts.
Smoke-Free Danube Tower
For official regulatory reasons, smoking is prohibited throughout the entire Danube Tower.
Requirements for the Danube Tower Slide
For safety reasons, the Danube Tower Slide is subject to specific age, height and health requirements. Please review these conditions before using the attraction.
Minimum Age, Minimum Height and Weight
The Donauturm slide may be used from the age of 6 and with a minimum height of 110 cm. The maximum permitted weight is 150 kg.
Accessible Use
Accessible use of the Danube Tower Slide is only possible to a limited extent and must be supported by a member of the operating staff.
Required Sliding Position
Sliding is only permitted with a sliding mat. Visitors must slide lying down with their feet in the foot pocket; the safety strap must be held firmly with both hands.
Objects and Clothing
No objects may be carried during the slide ride. Sliding is only permitted with suitable clothing.
Exit Area and Traffic Light System
The exit area of the slide must be left immediately after the ride. The traffic light system and monitor must be observed.
Prohibited Use
Sliding headfirst on the stomach is prohibited. Only one person may slide per mat. Arms and elbows must be kept close to the body. Braking or stopping during the ride is not permitted. The slide may not be used under the influence of alcohol.
