Donauturm Garden
April 28, 2026: At the end of April 2026, Donauturm will expand its offerings with another highlight: the new “Donauturm Garden,” a green leisure area covering around 400 m², will be created on the lawns behind the tower.
At the heart of the concept is a pop-up offering Italian specialties and freshly prepared pizzas. In addition to classics such as Margherita, the Donauturm kitchen team will also serve creative pizza variations with refined ingredients. The menu will be complemented by desserts such as tiramisu, as well as a selection of beverages including spritz variations, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and coffee.
Thanks to the to-go concept, food and drinks can be enjoyed flexibly — either in the newly designed garden area with around 130 seats or directly in the adjacent Donaupark. A clear focus is placed on being family-friendly: free admission invites spontaneous visits, while a varied children’s offering makes the experience even more attractive. Four bouncy castles will be available on site free of charge, providing additional fun and entertainment.
There will also be plenty on offer for children: four bouncy castles will be available free of charge, making the “Donauturm Garden” an excursion destination for the whole family.
“The focus of the Danube Tower Garden is on providing a relaxed stay in a green setting for visitors of all ages. With this new offering, we are creating an additional experience at the foot of the tower, both as a standalone excursion destination and in combination with a trip to the observation deck. In this way, we appeal to a broad audience – from spontaneous visitors who would like to try our culinary offerings to families with children and tourists,” says Roman Bauer, Managing Director of Danube Tower Vienna.
The “Donauturm Garden” is currently open from Friday to Sunday as well as on public holidays and bridging days from 12:00 am to 8:00 pm. Daily operation is planned during the summer holidays. In the event of heavy rain, the garden will remain closed.
