Donaubräu Closed
Donaubräu at the foot of the Danube Tower was closed in September 2025 for economic reasons. A reopening of Donaubräu is currently not planned.

New World Record at the Danube Tower
On June 10, 2024, Lower Austrian ultrarunner Rainer Predl set a new world record by running 100 kilometers in 2,500 laps around the platform of the Vienna Danube Tower. He achieved this impressive feat in 10 hours and 51 minutes.
