November 30, 2023: A welcome update for all visitors to the Donauturm Wien: the 360-degree panoramic rotating mechanism in the Turm Café is back in operation following an extensive technical overhaul. The gearbox, which has served faithfully for almost six decades, has undergone necessary maintenance.

At today's press conference, Dr Kurt Gollowitzer, Managing Director of Wien Holding GmbH, Danube Tower co-owner Paul Blaguss and Hermann Krammer, Managing Director of Donauturm Wien, opened the "Danube Tower Slide".

3 October 2023: A huge work of art hovered over the city by helicopter today and will soon temporarily give the Vienna Danube Tower, in which Wien Holding also has a stake, a new silhouette: The illuminated "Danube Tower Slide" will be installed at a height of 165 metres. As the highest slide in Europe, it will offer visitors to the Danube Tower a spectacular art adventure as a new attraction from mid-November.
