On June 28, 2024, the Danube Tower experienced a true influx of visitors. Over 600 students took the opportunity to celebrate their report cards, enjoying free admission and the spectacular views over Vienna.

On June 10, 2024, Lower Austrian ultrarunner Rainer Predl set a new world record by running 100 kilometers in 2,500 laps around the platform of the Vienna Danube Tower. He achieved this impressive feat in 10 hours and 51 minutes.

November 30, 2023: A welcome update for all visitors to the Donauturm Wien: the 360-degree panoramic rotating mechanism in the Turm Café is back in operation following an extensive technical overhaul. The gearbox, which has served faithfully for almost six decades, has undergone necessary maintenance.

15 November 2023: A new era of thrills begins at the Danube Tower Vienna, in which Wien Holding holds a stake. At today's press conference, Dr Kurt Gollowitzer, Managing Director of Wien Holding GmbH, Danube Tower co-owner Paul Blaguss and Hermann Krammer, Managing Director of Donauturm Wien, opened the "Danube Tower Slide".

3 October 2023: A huge work of art hovered over the city by helicopter today and will soon temporarily give the Vienna Danube Tower, in which Wien Holding also has a stake, a new silhouette: The illuminated "Danube Tower Slide" will be installed at a height of 165 metres. As the highest slide in Europe, it will offer visitors to the Danube Tower a spectacular art adventure as a new attraction from mid-November.
