New Year’s Eve 2026/27 at the Danube Tower Vienna

On 31 December 2026, you can choose from three different New Year’s Eve experiences: a festive buffet at the Tower Restaurant at 170 metres, a New Year’s Eve buffet at the Tower Café at 160 metres, or a panoramic New Year’s Eve celebration on the Indoor Terrace at 155 metres.

The Tower Restaurant and Tower Café slowly rotate, offering changing 360° panoramic views over Vienna throughout the evening. Around midnight, enjoy the lights of the city and welcome the New Year from a truly unique perspective.

The New Year’s Eve culinary experience

The culinary offering is identical at the Turm Restaurant and the Turm Café. The two packages differ only in terms of height, starting time and table category.

The Turm Restaurant at 170 metres and the Turm Café at 160 metres offer the same festive New Year’s Eve experience, combining a buffet with served courses.

To begin the evening, a special amuse-bouche will be served at your table. You can then choose from a selection of starters, soups and main courses at the buffet. Selected main courses will be freshly carved for you at the carving station. Dessert and cheese will be served at your table to conclude the meal.

• Herb-crusted roast beef from Austrian Alpine ox with truffle mayonnaise
• Duck and goose specialities – mousse, parfait and smoked delicacies with Cumberland sauce
• Carpaccio of marinated beetroot with feta and aged balsamic vinegar
• Grilled, stuffed, marinated and pickled vegetable antipasti
• Norwegian smoked and gravlax salmon with keta caviar, horseradish cream, dill mustard sauce and crispbread

• Truffled parsnip velouté with cheese fleurons
• Rich boiled-beef consommé with port wine and ham dumplings

Enjoy a varied selection of main courses. Selected dishes will be freshly carved for you at our carving station.

• Fish and seafood specialities on ratatouille vegetables with saffron beurre blanc
• Ricotta agnolotti with chestnuts, leaf spinach, pine nuts and a light Fontina velouté
• Confit leg of Cherry Valley duck with mulled-wine red cabbage and potato dumplings
• Whole-roasted beef sirloin with rosemary potatoes and juniper cream jus

New Year’s Eve high above Vienna

At 252 metres, the Danube Tower is Austria’s tallest structure. The Tower Restaurant at 170 metres and the Tower Café at 160 metres slowly rotate, offering constantly changing perspectives over Vienna throughout the evening.

Welcome the New Year high above the illuminated city, with views stretching across the Danube, the Danube Park and the Vienna skyline.

Around midnight, Ö3 and the ringing of the Pummerin bell will accompany the transition into the new year.

The Danube Tower Slide may be available depending on weather and operating conditions.

Important information for New Year’s Eve 2026/27

• The New Year’s Eve Turm take place on
• The Turm Restaurant, Tower Café and Indoor Terrace close at 1:00 am on 1 January 2027.
• The final lift descent is at 1:00 am.
• Admission to the Indoor Terrace is only possible between 10:30 pm and 11:00 pm.
• There is no seating available on the Indoor Terrace.
• The Turm Restaurant exclusively offers window tables on New Year’s Eve.
• At the Turm Café, guests can book either window tables or inner tables.
• There is no reduced child price for the New Year’s Eve experiences.
• Danube Tower gift vouchers cannot be used as payment for the New Year’s Eve events.
• Use of the Danube Tower Slide depends on weather and operating conditions. 

Important booking information

Tables at the Turm Restaurant and Turm Café are available exclusively in fixed sizes for two, four, six or eight guests. The stated price is per person. When booking, the number of guests must correspond to the selected table size. A table for two, for example, can only be booked for two guests.

Booking and cancellation conditions for New Year’s Eve

• The New Year’s Eve packages at the Danube Tower can only be booked subject to availability.
• Once payment has been completed, cancellations and refunds are not possible.
• In the event of a cancellation or no-show, 100% of the total booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.
