Donaubräu Closed
Donaubräu at the foot of the Danube Tower was closed in September 2025 for economic reasons. A reopening of Donaubräu is currently not planned.
The former spaces have been repurposed and are now used for new experience and leisure offerings at the Danube Tower. The indoor areas now house the Immersive Center at the Danube Tower, which offers changing immersive exhibitions and virtual reality experiences.
The former garden area has been redesigned as Donauturm Garten. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed outdoor area, freshly prepared pizzas, Italian specialities, drinks, snacks and a family-friendly offer with free bouncy castles.
This area at the foot of the Danube Tower continues to develop: the former Donaubräu spaces have become new offerings that can be ideally combined with a visit to the viewing platform, Turm Café, Turm Restaurant, the Danube Tower Slide or the Donau Shop.
What Is Located in the Former Donaubräu Today?
The indoor areas of the former Donaubräu are now used as the Immersive Center at the Danube Tower. Immersive exhibitions, virtual reality experiences and digital experience formats take place there.
The former garden area was redesigned as Donauturm Garten. It offers pizza, drinks, snacks, seating in the green and a family-friendly leisure offer.
Why Was Donaubräu Closed?
Donaubräu was closed in September 2025 for economic reasons. After the closure, the location was repurposed to create new experience, leisure and outdoor offerings at the foot of the Danube Tower.

Even without Donaubräu, the Danube Tower offers many ways to enjoy a varied visit: the viewing platform, Turm Café, Turm Restaurant, Danube Tower Slide, Donau Shop, Immersive Center and Donauturm Garten can be flexibly combined.
